Lifesaving Awards Handed Out

Two Ward County deputies have been awarded the North Dakota Peace Officers Association s Life Saving Award Sergeant Larry Hubbard and Deputy George Saltsman worked for two hours on April 7th to keep a man from harming himself and others The man was in a canoe on the Souris River and was believed to have had a handgun and a grenade After two hours of communication the man surrendered peacefully Hubbard and Saltsman received their Lifesaving awards at a ceremony today
