Waiting for the Warm
Today s frigid temperatures hit you like a knockout punch The cold air and wind are enough to take your breathe away On one of the coldest days of the year Brad Feldman asks what do you miss most about the summer Sound How many times have you heard this today Person It s just too cold out here today Simply put you wont have to wait in line to jump in the pool Person The sun is shining so that makes it quite tolerable if we actually look from the inside out But a day like today also gives you the chance to thinkabout once you ll do when it warms up Person Pretty hard to Golf when the wind is blowing like this Person Give me a warm day in my boat anyday Person Just being outside you know Believe it or not you can still find some people willing to brave the cool crisp sub zero temperatures Person I dont know that I miss a whole lot of anything I enjoy the cold On the other hand those of you who cant handle the cold might be heading to the airport Popular places of travel seem to be well anywhere with a temperature warmer than zero degrees person Anyplace has to be warmer than here Then again if you cant leave and have to deal with the freezing temperatures What better to do than enjoy it Robbie Johnson Dairy Queen Come on down we ll freeze you up Then again if it is going to be this windy and cold why not suffer through a blizzard at the same time Brad Feldman KX News Believe it or not today s low temperature of minue eighteen in Bismarck is not the coldest of the year On January 24th it was minus twenty here in Bismarck

Alabama Man Overcomes Disability
Being a professional angler with a physical disability would be a huge challenge to overcome Tonight Reporter Jessica Bauman introduces us to a man from Alabama who is very determined at living life He says all you need is a heart soul and mind Clay Dyer was born without legs no left arm and only a partial arm on his right Frisbee baseball Basketball and swimming were challenges but through a lot of frustration and trial and error Clay learned to do anything he set his mind to Clay Dyer Pro Angler Motivational Speaker Everything I want to do I just basically I watch other people do it and I watch how they would do it and I would look and say ok this is all I ve got And I focus on what resources I have versus what I didn t have At age five Clay found his passion fishing By the age of 15 he started entering in tournaments And in 1995 Clay became a pro angler He uses his teeth to tie knots and hook and unhook bait One of Clay s biggest acomplishments is that he does not use any special equipment Clay Dyer Pro Angler Motivational Speaker Nobody else can use special rods or reels so I can t either Therefore I had to learn how to use rods and reals just like this one I used for demonstration I had to figure out how to drive the boat how everybody else drives it I don t have any special harnesses or seats or anything like that I m just very thankful that I m able to have preserverance and determination to stay with it until I did figure it out Clay also takes on the task of motovational speaking He was at the Bismarck Tribune s Sport Show and the New Song Church this weekend Clay Dyer Pro Angler Motivational Speaker My main philosophies in life is If I can you can If you have dreams go after them Don t let somebody tell you you can t go after them If somebody tells you you can t don t let them limit you cause your only limit is yourself Through Clays positive spirits he says he has everything he needs For KX News I m Jessica Bauman For more information on Clay Dyergo to his web site at www teamdyer com

Sport Show Packs Bismarck Civic Center
The Civic Center was packed with people today at the Bismarck Tribune s Annual Sports Show going on this weekend There is a little bit of everything at the showcase Over 100 exhibitors have booths about fishing boating hunting camping and much more The Dakota Zoo provided children with many fun activities Sports Show Coordinator Paul Patera says there is a wide range of events for the whole family Paul Patera Sports Show Coordinator Oh I think it s a great thing for families to do Because there something for everybody And kids just have a great time There s a lot of entertainment Fly casting for the kids And they can win small prizes The zoo is full of all different kinds of things to do You can reel in all the excitement again tomorrow The show runs from noon to 5
