Fire Destroys Pontoon in Mandan

Fire destroys a pontoon in Marina Bay this morning Around nine a m the Mandan fire department put out flames The boat was in a slip near the Broken Oar Mandan fire chief Steve Nardello says the fire is still under investigation Boat owner John Weber says he s had the pontoon since 2003 well we were basically just driving to work and we saw the smoke the police passed us we were joking we laughed about a couple things and it looked like it was almost on the water but as we drove by the bridge it looked like it was further back we didn t think much but we were gonna come down but we thought uh we re late lets get to work Weber says he was on the boat till about 2 30 this morning He says the boat was fully insured and he ll try to get a new boat as soon as possible
